Album Notes & Community Reviews
Blue Note Records' A&R man and tenor saxophonist Ike Quebec capitalized on the Brazilian music craze with this deeply romantic, Latin-infused session. Recorded shortly before his death, Quebec's massive, breathy tone meshes beautifully with Kenny Burrell's classical guitar playing, producing a remarkably warm, melancholic fusion.
