Album Notes & Community Reviews
Returning to his original label Sub Pop, Sam Beam steps away from the lush, heavily orchestrated pop and jazz-funk explorations of his previous two records. This album re-embraces the stripped-down, acoustic intimacy of his early catalog, focusing on sparse acoustic fingerpicking and incredibly warm vocal melodies. It serves as a gentle, graceful meditation on aging and the passage of time.
