Serving as the final release for Darkthrone drummer Fenriz's legendary solo project, the record presents an incredibly raw, highly eclectic fusion of extreme metal styles. The completely unpolished, lo-fi production jumps wildly between freezing black metal aggression, chanted Viking folk melodies, and heavy doom-laden doom riffs. The wonderfully chaotic, deeply passionate tribute to ancient Norwegian mythology remains a beloved, quirky cult classic in the extreme underground.
