Alkolea

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Singing entirely in the Basque language, this progressive rock ensemble significantly refined their sound on their third studio album, moving towards a highly polished, melodic approach. 'Alkolea' gracefully balances the complex, symphonic structures of 1970s prog with soaring, accessible pop sensibilities and subtle regional folk elements. It is widely considered a creative triumph within the Basque radical rock movement's more sophisticated fringes.
