Biography

Itoiz was a Basque band formed in 1978 in Mutriku and Ondarroa by singer and guitarist Juan Carlos Pérez, evolving from the dance band Indar Trabes. Their early albums blended folk and progressive rock sung in Basque, before a turn to pop-rock made them a leading Basque act of the 1980s. Pérez dissolved the band in 1988 after its final concerts.
