Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his refined, understated exploration of Americana, 'Okie' perfectly captures J.J. Cale鈥檚 signature laid-back 'Tulsa sound.' The record is marked by sparse, syncopated arrangements, Cale鈥檚 famously intimate, whispered vocal delivery, and an effortless, groove-driven blend of country, blues, and swampy roots rock.
