Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pianist Jack Wilson delivers a highly sophisticated and deeply swinging set for his debut on Blue Note Records. Supported by a phenomenal lineup that includes vibraphonist Roy Ayers, the quintet navigates complex post-bop structures with a remarkably airy, lyrical touch. The session successfully balances the aggressive momentum of hard bop with introspective, nuanced harmonic explorations.
