Album Notes & Community Reviews

Utilizing his incredibly successful, highly stylized 'mood music' formula, the famous comedian and television star 'conducts' a lush, heavily romanticized collection of holiday standards. Stripping away vocals entirely, the sweeping, string-drenched orchestrations create an intensely relaxing, almost narcotic atmosphere designed explicitly as sophisticated background music. The immensely popular release effectively codified the classic, fireside-ready aesthetic of the mid-century adult-contemporary Christmas album.
