Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring tubaist Ray Draper in a prominent harmonic role, the alto saxophonist experiments with unusual instrumentation against a traditional bop rhythm section. The resulting textures are thick and earthy, highlighting the leader's sharp, driving intonation and blues-drenched phrasing.
