Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the preeminent keyboardist and arranger for Studio One, the artist delivered a masterclass in early reggae instrumental grooves on this quintessential LP. His rhythmic Hammond organ leads perfectly glide over Coxsone Dodd's rock-solid, bass-heavy foundational rhythms. The deeply infectious instrumental tracks laid the groundwork for countless vocal versions and dub permutations throughout the decade.
