His second album takes its title from the Creole for what the drums resound, and sets Guadeloupean gwoka grooves, learned in childhood from the drummer Anzala, against modern jazz and neo-soul. Guests include singer Stephanie McKay and Jacob Desvarieux of Kassav', and Schwarz-Bart arrived at it after sideman work with D'Angelo and Roy Hargrove, whose single 'Forget Regret' he wrote.
