Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jaga Jazzist's third album saw the Norwegian ensemble shift towards a more rock-oriented sound. While retaining their jazz roots, the record incorporates significant post-rock and electronic influences, creating dense, layered, and often epic instrumental pieces. 'What We Must' was widely acclaimed for its complex arrangements and its successful fusion of disparate genres, further establishing them as a unique force in experimental music.
