The Turning Centre of a Still World

On his third solo album, the Montreal saxophonist expands the scope of his unique, custom-built musical system. The record once again features his own heart-rate and breathing controlling a host of electronic textures, but this time integrates them with a full string and percussion ensemble arranged by Colin Stetson. The result is a powerful and organic work, blending immense electroacoustic drones with rich, modern classical orchestration.
