Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jeff Buckley's sole studio album, 'Grace', merges alternative rock with influences from folk, soul, and jazz, defined by his acrobatic, multi-octave vocal performances and intricate guitar work. Produced by Andy Wallace, the album's layered soundscapes combine sweeping original compositions with eclectic covers, notably a definitive rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". Initially met with modest commercial success, the album's stature grew immensely following Buckley's death, cementing its legacy as a touchstone of 1990s music celebrated for its emotional intensity and profound artistic vision.
