Recorded in a small coffee shop in Athens, Georgia in 1997, this low-fidelity document captures the Neutral Milk Hotel frontman just before the release of 'In the Aeroplane Over the Sea'. The recording is legendary for its intimacy, featuring the sound of a crying baby in the audience during a raw, acoustic performance of his defining surrealist folk repertoire.
