Album Notes & Community Reviews

Credited to Paul Kantner alongside an ad-hoc supergroup of Bay Area luminaries, this sprawling sci-fi concept album was the first project to bear the 'Starship' moniker. Earning a prestigious Hugo Award nomination, its deeply utopian narrative imagines a group of countercultural dropouts hijacking a starship to form a free, egalitarian society in space.
