Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in London during a brief hiatus from The Gun Club, this solo debut finds the eccentric frontman backed by a robust ensemble of British session musicians. 'Wildweed' polishes his feral, delta-blues obsessions with slicker new wave production and pronounced synthesizer elements. Despite the stylistic sheen, Pierce's chaotic energy and deeply mythic lyrical approach to American roots music remain intensely potent.
