Biography

Jeffrey Lee Pierce was the volatile and visionary frontman for The Gun Club, a band that fused the raw energy of L.A. punk with the primal soul of Delta blues, country, and rockabilly. Born of multi-ethnic heritage, Pierce channeled a sense of alienation into a dark, poetic, and influential musical style. As the band's sole constant member, he created landmark albums like 'Fire of Love' for #Ruby Records#, which showcased his searing slide guitar and tortured vocals on tracks like 'Sex Beat' and 'She's Like Heroin to Me'. A lifelong music scholar and fan, he was famously the president of the West Coast *Blondie* fan club before becoming a peer and collaborator with artists like *Debbie Harry* and *Chris Stein*.
