Album Notes & Community Reviews

Relocating to a ridge in Marin County, California, the former Youngbloods frontman crafted a relaxed, deeply sun-drenched solo album defining the easygoing ethos of the era. Fusing gentle acoustic folk with light jazz instrumentation and swampy, New Orleans-style R&B rhythms, the recording exudes an effortlessly warm, coastal optimism. The title track, dedicated to his young daughter, encapsulates the record's profound sense of pastoral domesticity and musical maturity.
