With Ian Anderson taking full creative control, Jethro Tull's sophomore album violently pivots towards a much more eclectic, distinctly English sound. 'Stand Up' is fiercely energetic and beautifully melodic, weaving wonderfully warm, playful British folk-rock elements into remarkably heavy, highly passionate blues-rock and early progressive structures.
