Album Notes & Community Reviews

A highly controversial posthumous release, 'Crash Landing' consists of unfinished studio jams and demos left behind by Jimi Hendrix, extensively overdubbed and re-recorded by session musicians at the direction of producer Alan Douglas. While heavily criticized for erasing the original rhythm sections, the album successfully returned Hendrix's searing guitar work to the top of the commercial charts.
