Album Notes & Community Reviews

Issued by Verve Records, 'Fusion' documents the Jimmy Giuffre 3 featuring Paul Bley on piano and Steve Swallow on bass. The album deliberately eschews traditional rhythmic accompaniment, emphasizing quiet, highly interactive chamber-jazz improvisations that anticipated later developments in European free jazz.
