Album Notes & Community Reviews
Joined by Jim Hall on guitar and Bob Brookmeyer on valve trombone, the drummerless trio executes a distinctly American strain of chamber jazz. The title composition weaves folk-inspired motifs into quiet, contrapuntal improvisations, evoking the sparse, lonely landscapes of the American West.
