Album Notes & Community Reviews

Longtime Cecil Taylor collaborator Jimmy Lyons leads his own quintet through an intense, highly kinetic session of free-blowing jazz. 'Wee Sneezawee' highlights the alto saxophonist's blistering, bebop-rooted technique pushed into fierce, avant-garde territory. Accompanied by a stellar rhythm section, the album stands as one of the finest documents of his work as a bandleader before his untimely passing.
