Album Notes & Community Reviews
The phenomenal Japanese saxophonist and arranger fundamentally pushed the boundaries of his ensemble on this ferociously heavy, groove-oriented masterpiece. The tracks flawlessly blend blistering, fuzzed-out psychedelic rock guitar with incredibly tight, syncopated soul-jazz brass arrangements. It is universally heralded as a foundational, highly explosive document of the burgeoning Japanese jazz-funk movement.
