Album Notes & Community Reviews

The versatile reedman assembled a formidable quartet featuring John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette for this dynamic outing. The recording brilliantly captures the rapid evolution of modern music at the dawn of the decade, oscillating between complex acoustic post-bop structures and the fiery, electric improvisation of early jazz fusion.
