Barnstorm

Album Notes & Community Reviews

After leaving the heavy riffing of the James Gang, the American guitarist formed a new power trio and retreated to Colorado to craft this surprisingly atmospheric and reflective debut. Incorporating extensive acoustic guitars, early synthesizer experiments, and pastoral lyricism, the record established a highly melodic, sophisticated rock sound. It laid the direct groundwork for his massive future solo successes and eventual integration into the Eagles.
