Caribbean Sunset

Produced during a famously chaotic and substance-fueled period, the former Velvet Underground member's ninth studio album is an abrasive, often abrasive exercise in art-punk. The record suffers somewhat from thin, harsh 80s production values but is elevated by Cale's consistently manic vocal performances and jagged viola playing. Due to label disputes and Cale's own dissatisfaction, the album has notoriously never been officially reissued on compact disc.
