Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking his first album of original songs in over a decade, 'Mercy' finds the legendary Velvet Underground co-founder exploring dark, synthetic soundscapes. The production favors moody electronics, downtempo beats, and a host of notable younger collaborators such as Weyes Blood and Animal Collective to frame his resonant, world-weary vocals. It acts as a somber, deeply nocturnal reflection on global anxiety and aging.
