Album Notes & Community Reviews
One of the most important and acclaimed albums in jazz history, 'A Love Supreme' is a four-part suite that is both a masterpiece of musical innovation and a profound declaration of faith. The album documents John Coltrane's spiritual journey, moving from acknowledgment of the divine to resolution and praise. It perfectly synthesizes the 'Classic Quartet's' modal explorations with the intense, spiritual fire of the avant-garde, transcending the genre to become a universal cultural touchstone.
