Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed by the Invisible Girls, the legendary 'bard of Salford' perfectly married his rapid-fire, cynical poetry to the jittery, synthesized dance rhythms of the era. 'Zip Style Method' features Clarke's unparalleled, satirical observations of working-class British life propelled by incredibly sharp, angular post-punk arrangements. It stands as a brilliant, final studio album from the most vital performance poet of the punk generation.
