Album Notes & Community Reviews
Following his monumental comeback the previous year, the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman leaned heavily into mid-80s studio technology. The album's reliance on drum machines and polished AOR synths divided critics, despite maintaining his signature swamp-rock guitar tone and overtly political, protest-oriented lyricism.
