Album Notes & Community Reviews

Composed exclusively for an incendiary trio consisting of Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Joey Baron, 'Astronome' operates as a manic collision of avant-garde noise and metallic intensity. Zorn conducts the vocal-driven improvisations through a series of chaotic jump-cuts, exploring surreal, wordless theatrics. The project accompanied an esoteric stage play by Richard Foreman, serving as a masterclass in extreme musical surrealism.
