Album Notes & Community Reviews

A double album of John Zorn's chamber music recorded in Tilburg and Haarlem between 1998 and 2000, 'Cartoon; S&M' divides its programme between a lighter first disc and a darker second. 'Kol Nidre', drawn from Zorn's Masada songbook, appears in two versions, for string quartet and for clarinet quartet, alongside the thirteen-part string quartet 'The Dead Man'.
