Moonchild: Songs Without Words

Composed by the legendary avant-garde saxophonist for a specific trio—Mike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Joey Baron—this project is an exercise in extreme vocal improvisation. Patton relies entirely on wordless shrieks, guttural growls, and operatic leaps over incredibly chaotic, heavy bass and drum interplay. It initiated a sprawling series of esoteric, occult-themed 'Moonchild' recordings.
