Composed by the legendary avant-garde saxophonist for a specific trio鈥擬ike Patton, Trevor Dunn, and Joey Baron鈥攖his project is an exercise in extreme vocal improvisation. Patton relies entirely on wordless shrieks, guttural growls, and operatic leaps over incredibly chaotic, heavy bass and drum interplay. It initiated a sprawling series of esoteric, occult-themed 'Moonchild' recordings.
