Album Notes & Community Reviews

Composed by the immensely prolific avant-garde icon for his ensemble Abraxas, this album serves as a wildly energetic, highly eclectic companion piece to his earlier mystical works. 'Psychomagia' seamlessly blends heavy, driving surf-rock guitar riffs with complex jazz improvisation and distinctly Middle Eastern rhythmic structures. It stands as a brilliantly playful, highly virtuosic, and remarkably unpredictable instrumental rock achievement.
