John Zorn radically deconstructs and reimagines the iconic spaghetti western film scores of Ennio Morricone through a wildly eclectic, avant-garde jazz lens. The album features a massive ensemble of downtown New York musicians performing chaotic, noisy, and highly atmospheric improvisations atop Morricone's original melodic structures. It is a deeply quirky, suspenseful triumph of experimental music.
