Album Notes & Community Reviews

The incomparable Duke Ellington alto saxophonist leads a relaxed, deeply blues-inflected small-group session supported by a swinging rhythm section including Clark Terry. His impossibly smooth, famously lyrical tone glides effortlessly over the sophisticated arrangements, reaffirming his status as one of the most uniquely expressive voices in the swing tradition.
