Album Notes & Community Reviews
Joshua Redman's 'Beyond' collects ten original compositions recorded at Avatar Studios in New York, self-produced and marking the recording debut of his second quartet with Aaron Goldberg, Reuben Rogers and Gregory Hutchinson. Tenor saxophonist Mark Turner guests on 'Leap of Faith', and the writing works modal jazz harmony through the post-bop quartet format the group had formed two years earlier.
