Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in Iceland with Sigur R贸s producer Alex Somers, 'Nepenthe' expands Julianna Barwick's vocal loops into a grand, icy soundscape. The album incorporates strings and a choir of teenage girls, adding texture and depth to her ethereal compositions. It is a breathtakingly beautiful record that evokes vast, snow-covered landscapes and a sense of healing peace.
