Album Notes & Community Reviews

Eschewing standard seasonal fare in favor of original compositions, the cool jazz vocalist presents a uniquely melancholic and introspective holiday album. Arranged by Pete Rugolo, the complex, slightly dissonant orchestrations perfectly match her cool, vibrato-less delivery. It stands out as an unusually thoughtful and emotionally complex entry in the mid-century Christmas music canon.
