Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured partially live at Pepper's Lounge in Chicago and partially in the studio, 'It's My Life, Baby!' showcases Junior Wells' swaggering, heavily James Brown-influenced approach to the electric blues. Featuring Buddy Guy's stinging guitar work, the album injects hard-driving funk and R&B elements into traditional Chicago blues structures. It represents a vital modernization of the genre during the late 1960s.
