Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating as the first half of a two-part conceptual saga based on Goethe's 'Faust', the release marked a creative zenith for the symphonic metal outfit. The bombastic orchestrations and Roy Khan's theatrical, emotive vocals perfectly capture the tragic grandeur of the narrative.
