Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the departure of beloved long-time frontman Roy Khan, the American symphonic metal titans recruited Swedish vocalist Tommy Karevik for this highly anticipated tenth studio album. Constructed as a tragic, 19th-century conceptual narrative involving a grieving family, the record heavily utilizes dramatic choirs, sweeping orchestral arrangements, and driving power metal rhythms. Karevik's performance seamlessly integrated into the band's trademark blend of gothic melancholy and progressive grandiosity.
