Album Notes & Community Reviews

The German collective heavily explores the intersection of classic Krautrock rhythms and traditional African jazz forms on this highly inventive, deeply psychedelic album. 'Unstraight Ahead' is anchored by remarkably complex, highly syncopated basslines and intricate brass and flute improvisations, perfectly capturing the spirit of vintage Ethio-jazz. The entirely instrumental record is a wonderfully warm, incredibly rhythmic, and fiercely experimental cross-cultural jam.
