Album Notes & Community Reviews

The formidable pairing of Regis (Karl O'Connor) and Female (Peter Sutton) culminates in a definitive, brutally heavy statement of early 2000s club music. 'Againstnature' essentially codifies the aggressive, loop-heavy 'Birmingham Sound', driving mechanical industrial techno deep into relentlessly repetitive and dark territory. The critically revered release on the legendary Tresor label influenced a generation of hard techno producers.
