Blasphemy
by Kayo Dot
Toby Driver's highly unpredictable avant-garde ensemble takes another surprising turn, abandoning the metallic aggression of their early material for brooding, synthesizer-heavy gothic rock. The album is conceptually based on an allegorical novel by Jason Byron, exploring themes of cosmic hubris and mythological tragedy. It features intensely dramatic, crooning vocal performances set against cold, progressive soundscapes.
