Returning to a significantly heavier sound reminiscent of their legendary debut, Toby Driver's avant-garde metal project fully embraced crushing doom and gothic textures. The record reunited Driver with original lyricist Jason Byron, resulting in sprawling, esoteric epics characterized by bizarre, shifting time signatures and terrifyingly dense vocal performances. It was heralded as a massive, horrifying return to form for the constantly evolving collective.
