Album Notes & Community Reviews

For their third studio album, the British trio finally breaks their 'no guitars' rule, heavily integrating electric guitars, saxophones, and pulsating 1980s synth-pop aesthetics. Shedding the melancholic piano ballads of their early breakthroughs, the record is incredibly upbeat, drawing aesthetic inspiration from Talking Heads and David Bowie. The stylistic pivot successfully modernized their stadium-ready sound, debuting at number one on the UK Albums Chart.
