Diverging drastically from the earth-shattering volume of their typical collaborations, this Tokyo live recording presents the trio in an uncharacteristically subdued, almost delicate light. Haino trades his electric guitar for traditional acoustic instruments and plaintive vocals, resulting in a surreal, dreamlike exploration of avant-folk improvisation.
